Can people stay hungry for 13 years? That’s how long gamers have been waiting for Duke Nukem Forever the sequel to the 1996 game Duke Nukem 3D. Last week Duke Nukem Forever got an official release date, again. This time it’s May 3, 2011. You’ve probably seen this picture of a 2001 pre-order for the game on the ‘net. Images like this help make Duke Nukem Forever‘s release a long-standing joke.
We all laugh but gamers are still interested. Just like they would be interested in another Mortal Kombat movie. A controverisal and hilarious game buys long standing teenage boy loyalty.

Graphically, it looks outdated. Perhaps I was wrong to assume that they were going to recreate the assets. Nonetheless, I look forward to this game!
